The True Story of Adam and Eve
(Ross Falzone)

Adam and Eve carved their initials on the back porch
Took a ride in daddy’s car and landed in jail
The judge sold out and let 'em go
He said, “You guys are on parole
But you’ve got to sell your soul to pay the bail.”

It was a lousy deal for such a tiny meal,
A passionate teenage felony
Is that what I’m suppose to believe

God got mad when things went bad
He said that He’d been had
Seems no one could keep their word here on earth
So He sold Noah a Persian rug,
Snapped his fingers and made a flood,
Flushed the whole thing -- Say Amen!
Now we’re paying for the same sin over and over again

It was a lousy deal for such a tiny meal,
A passionate teenage felony
And true stories can be hard to believe

Shake one hand and cut off the other
Its dog eat dog or brother to brother
Sell your soul for the right mojo and away, away, away we go

Stem cell salesman, D.N.A., cosmic C.P.A,
It’s all a planned roll of the dice,
And I hope it all turns out nice

It was a lousy deal for such a tiny meal
After all there was nothing else in the garden so sweet
And I find it all pretty hard to believe
